Mark Betson Artist Wholesale Terms and Conditions
- Wholesale Criteria - In order to qualify for wholesale of our products you must meet our criteria of not being within 10 miles of another retailer selling our products, we reserve the right to refuse your account registration.
- Minimum order quantities
To qualify for a wholesale account, we have a minimum order quantity (MOQ). Your order must exceed £50.00
Plus postage (where applicable) and vat . This may change at our descretion, you will be notified should this occur.
- Postage For UK orders there is a flat charge of £6 for orders under £100, orders over £100 have free postage. In Europe, Canada, US and Australia there is a flat charge of £15 for orders under £250, free for orders above £250. For all other countries there is a £20 flat charge for orders under £250, orders above £250 have free postage.
- Wholesale Pricing
Our wholesale price is lower than our retail price
- Payment terms
All orders are paid for when ordered on this site at the checkout. Credit invoices will not be issued. Once we have received your order we will send a VAT receipt.
- VAT All product prices are displayed excluding VAT. VAT will be added to your order at the rate of 20% at the checkout.
- Order dates
Orders need to be placed before 9am on the Wednesday stated on the home page to be included in the next print run. After this time orders will be sent to the printers to be completed. Orders placed after 9am on that Wednesday will not go to the printers until the following printing date. We aim to have your order with you within 10 days if you have placed it before the deadline.
- Minimum retail prices/ recommended retail price
You must agree to sell: (each product type are line priced, ie. all cards are the same price)
150mm cards between £2.50 and £3.50 125mm cards between £2.25 and £3.25 10x10" Prints, minimum of £15
failing to do so and selling products below these recommended retail prices will have your account closed. This is to ensure all retailers are not competing against each other.
- Return and Exchange Policy
All items are quality checked before they are shipped and packaged in such a way to ensure their safe passage. Should an item arrive damaged, please email us to discuss the defect and if an exchange is needed.
- Shipping - drop shipping
All orders are posted direct from us once they have been quality control checked. Shipping costs are added to orders at the checkout (see postage above). Larger orders may be drop shipped direct from our printers.
- Ordering process
All orders are completed online. You will need to open an account to qualify for a wholesale account, which will need to be approved by us, we do select carefully who sells our work and ensure that we don’t overlap geographically. We don not allow market traders to open an account. You must have a bricks and mortar premises, ie. shop.

- Purchase order
Once orders are placed you will be emailed a purchase order detailing all the items you have ordered and paid for, You will also be sent a VAT receipt with your order, for your records. You will not be able to change your order after 9am on Wednesday's.
- Lead time/ turnaround
Once orders are received, it is sent to our printers on a Wednesday. Turnaround is usually 10 days. We collect printed items from the printers and despatch orders personally. Larger orders may be despatched via our printers. Should there be a delay for any reason, we will let you know. Chargebacks for late orders or damaged goods (should they occur) will be discussed via email.
- Back orders
This should never happen, but should an item you have ordered be unavailable, we will let you know. You can then choose to wait for it to become available and it will be sent out with your next order, or you can exchange it for other items (staying within the minimum order quantity). This decision will need to be made within the turnaround time, so that any exchanges can be included in the original orders shipping.
- Product line/ line sheet/ product catalogue
A line sheet is available on request, which lists a summary of items available and their prices. A detailed product catalogue is also available on request. Both are downloadable pdf. However, everything is on the website.
- Buybacks and guaranteed orders
New customers can apply for guaranteed orders. If you would like to try the products with a guarantee that if you have been unable to sell them, we will buy them back. You must meet the minimum order quantity still. We will guarantee to buy back 30% of your order. Payment will not be processed until we have received the items back and the items are still of a sellable quality. If items are sent back damadged and therefore no longer good enough for resale, the refund will not be processed. Please note products that have been with you for longer than 6 months, do not qualify for buyback.
- Private labels/white labels
All items will be sold with our own labelling and branding and will arrive in our branded packaging. You are not allowed to change this branding to your own, or obscure ours in any way, failure to do so will mean suspension or closure of your account.
- Bulk discounts
At our descretion it is possible to apply for bulk discounts, this will have a different minimum order quantity and you will need to have held an account for a year and completed 20 orders to qualify.
Exclusivity is at our own descretion. It does not usually occur unless you have agreed with Mark (ourselves) that a particular image (ie of an iconic town symbol) has been commissioned for resale in your shop only. We will then agree not to offer that product image to other retailers.
- Point of Purchase (POP) display
We do not supply display units for the products you order. We recommend a rotary card stand for the cards and similar display for prints to maximise exposure and therefore sales. We can recommend suppliers of display units. Upon agreement we can design and supply signage (shelf talker) for the stands at a charge.
Mark is the artist of his original designs. Tammy (his wife) manages his retail and wholesale business and will be your point of call for all enquiries (via [email protected]). Mark has been an artist for over 30 years and has been selling his cards with his wife for the past 10 years, online, at events and in local retail shops, including for a short period their own. Therefore confident their products are loved and collected by people from all over the world.
Our head office and studio are based in Devon and we plan to supply a variety of businesses including post offices, gift shops, news agents and many more. We want to help our customers make the most of their retail opportunities with competitive pricing, great service and reliability.
